Imagen del artículo

For the first time, the public can walk through the Commodus passage, a hidden underground corridor that connects the Colosseum to the ancient imperial palace in Rome. This passage was used by Emperor Commodus to enter the amphitheater discreetly. The restoration and opening of this space are part of a broader initiative to make more historical areas of Rome accessible to visitors, enriching cultural tourism and historical education.
